rose love

roses-----I love 'em

can't seem to get enough of 'em

I always seem to take and share too many photos for one post, but it's just so hard not to

so here are some of the bouquets I've been enjoying lately

pretty,
even when they are sitting in front of a very dirty kitchen window

Colette rose in a pitcher in the living room

lovey,
especially when paired with a pot of Limelight hydrangeas

the rose bushes themselves have been badly chewed on by a lot of bugs this year,
so they look pretty sad by the end of summer
but they still produce enough blooms for beautiful bouquets

a little messy abandon going on in this part of the garden

but I kind of like messy!

For me, you can NOT take and share too many photos of your lovely roses, in bouquets and growing. The Limelight hydrangeas are a nice addition too.

Your roses are such a pretty pale pink , they look so lovely in the metal pot and if you hadn't mentioned the messy bit in your garden, I would never have noticed it, with such pretty roses climbing over the fence.
I too never tire of roses. Lovely photos.

June, Roses are my favorite flower too. Your bouquets and those in the vase are sweet beauty defined. I used to walk around my Mom's gardens which gave her great pride. At the end of Summer she would point out what's dying off, what the beetles and other pests had gotten to, how they were fading. I would say Mom, Mother Nature is giving them their beauty rest, it's time for them to slumber to rest and release their beauty when it's time. Your photography always captures a moment of nature's beauty that warms our hearts. Bless your Green thumb, the nurturing you provide your gardens and for sharing with us.
xoxo,
Vera

Your bug chewed rose is a perfect reminder that life is not easy nor always beautiful, but there are beautiful moments to hang onto. When "the bugs start chewing" we can look for those beautiful moments and know it will be wonderful again. Your yard must be what heaven smells like. I've always thought that there must be some nutritional value to fragrances. If some can kill then some can heal so I breathe in deep lungfuls of rose scented air to calm my brains and let my soul enjoy the delightful moment. I'm sure that somehow it receives strength from this.

June,
Do you know how many people try to have this romantic style of garden - you do it so perfectly. I love this type of rose - wrong or right, I always call them old roses. The rambling open petal, romantic Victorian look - tugs at my heart every time I see them. And there are never too many pictures from your beautiful garden.

We just opened up the canopy at the back of our property - it was too concentrated with tree's. Now with more light and moisture the mature tree's will be healthier, and I will be able to plant more variety of flowers with the increase of sun to the garden.

hugs
Katherine

When you are a rose lover you can never have enough photos, so please always keep sharing all of your beautiful images. Colette is one of my favorite roses and she does look so lovely in a vase. My roses have also been dined on by many insects and the leaves are a disaster, but oh how I love the blooms!

Oh my...you have a green thumb June! These are so beautiful:) I'm terrible with plants, they usually get taken over with mold or I over/under water them and they die on me:( It's really tricky here in our humid environment but I honestly can't say I was any better with them in other regions. Thank you for sharing these lovely flowers!

JUNE everything you said about to many pictures rings true with me as well...it's all the different angles you want to share. As for that first foto, it's breathtaking and worthy of a magazine cover.
I so love the grey weathered top the beautiful loosely laying roses are on...your gardens are the best on my blog list. I have a favorite of yours, that split-rail fencing with the use of facing it with old horse wire look. It's so euro chic, and adds private entry where need be, the grey raised beds what can I say, other then when do you have time to care for a home, a cottage studio and the gardens, shop, and take care of your daily life? It's all so I spiring to me SUPER WOMEN! :)

If there were an earthly garden of edan? We have found it here.

Take all, and share all, were never tire of your inspiring beauty.
I would love to see more of your romantic home.

Dear June, they're so lovely, such a pale gorgeous treat for our senses, I bet their fragrance wafts in great waves across your beautiful garden. They are so feminine I think. They fill me with thoughts of sunny summer days, when we were children and everything was a miracle to be experienced with wonder!

Hugs dear June, hope all is well with you?
I'm trying to learn to live with a new symptom...well new, it arrived out of the blue in April.
The coffee pots on.... Pop over! :)))))
